Born In: Nova Scotia, Canada
Passed in: Nova Scotia, Canada
Hayman, Mary Jane Selina - Tatamagouche, took her final journey from the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital on December 8, 2009 with her grandson and granddaughter by her side. Born in Central New Annan, she was the daughter of Olla Mary Langille and the late Louis Langille. Mary spent many years caring for several children, both locally and in Alberta. Over the years her family's sewing, mending and hemming always found their way to her sewing machine. She was an avid Coronation Street fan and completed every crossword puzzle she came across, with only a few getting the better of her. Anyone that had the pleasure of dining at Mary's table never forgot her delicious home cooked meals and baked goods. Her family truly was the most important part of her life, as she constantly placed their needs before her own. She will be dearly missed by her children Dale and Darlene, both of Balfron; her grandchildren the loves of her life, Peter Pope (Erin), Tatamagouche; Victoria Semple, New Glasgow, sisters Luanne Ross, West Earltown; Judy Lepper (John), Central New Annan and many very special nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews and "Molly" her favorite canine friend who even visited her in the hospital. She was predeceased by her loving brother and sister in law Andrew and Doreen Langille and brother in law Rodney Ross. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful nurses at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital who made her very comfortable and content with their exceptional care. A special thank you to Brenton and David at MacLeods Funeral Home, River John, for allowing us to see her beautiful smile again as we said our final goodbyes. Cremation has taken place. A private family ceremony will be held at Wilson School. Central New Annan on December 19, 2009. Private burial will be at Langille Gift Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations in her memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
Each Life Is a Song
A life is a song we write
In our own tone and key
Each life we touch reflects a note
That forms the melody
We choose the theme and chorus
Of the song that bears our name
And each will have a special sound
No two can be the same
So when someone we love departs
In memory we find
Their song plays on within the hearts
Of those they leave behind.
