HISCOCK, Elizabeth (Betty) Ann – Passed peacefully away at the West Island Palliative Care Residence in Kirkland, Quebec Tuesday, December 8, 2009, Elizabeth Hiscock, age 68 years. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Minnie May Walker, step-mother Minnie Walker, grandparents Leah and Eugene Walker, brother-in-law Harry Burt. Survived by her sisters: Sylvia Button (George) of Lead Cove, Sandra Legge (Raymond) of Whiteway, Alma Burt, St. John’s and brothers: Gordon Walker, St. John’s, Clayton Walker and Robert Walker Jr. (Rose), both in Grand Prairie. Leaving to mourn daughter Vera, Montreal and son Vernon (Shelly) Pickering, Ontario as well as two grandchildren, Laura and Mark. At Betty’s wishes, she will be cremated in Montreal and her ashes buried in Winterton. Her remains will be resting at Greens Funeral Home in Winterton. Visitations with the family will be held on Sunday, December 13th at 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Monday, December 14th at 10:00 – 12:00 Noon with the funeral service to take place on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Winterton. No flowers by request. Donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the West Island Palliative Care Residence who took such good care of her.
