Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 27th, 2012, at the Health Science Complex in St. John's, NL, at the age of 59 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Patricia (nee Simon), children: Robert (Valerie) and Janice (Steve) Newman, grandchildren: Tamara, Cody, Alaska and Roman, his siblings: Mary (Grey) Huxter of Buchans, NL, Shirley Wellon (Martin), of Sarnia, Ontario, sister-in-law, Joan Wellon of C.B.S. NL, Brian was predeceased by his parents, Frank & Agnes Wellon, brothers: Sam & Franklin, mother and father-in-law, Mildred & Michael Simon, sister-in-law, Jean Thornhill, brother-in-law Mick Simon and a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family, his extended family and many many friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL today, Thursday, March 29th, 2012, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and continuing on Friday, March 30th, 2012 from the hours of 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 31st, 2012 at 2:00 p.m at St. Paul's United Church in Deer Lake, NL, with the Rev. Dr. Tony Newell officiating, burial to follow at the United Church section of the Wight's Road, Cemetery in Deer Lake, NL.
