Don O. DeWitt It is with great sorrow that my son and I announce the passing of a beloved husband and father on July 4th, 2007. He leaves behind a wife, Irene of over 60 years, a son Don (Teresa) and three beloved grandchildren, Craig, Robbie and Katie. He was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his family. Born in Elm Creek, Manitoba on April 5th 1918, he was the youngest of four children. His family moved to Eureka, California for a few years, then back to Alberta, finally settling in Clearwater, B.C. He spent five years in the Second World War as a Sgt., 9 months in the Aleutian Islands and the remainder between Canada and England with the Rocky Mountain Rangers. In 1949 he joined the Forest Service and after several moves retired in Kamloops as the Last Ranger Supervisor. Please do not send flowers.
