PICTOU/NEW GLASGOW – MacAdam, Kathryn Anna, age 83, of the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away December 12, 2009, in the Maritime Oddfellows Home.
Born in Thorburn, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Jessie (MacLeod) Jordan.
Before moving to the Maritime Oddfellows Home in Pictou, Kathryn was a resident of New Glasgow all her married life. She was a member of St. Georges Anglican Church and also a member of the Branch No. 34 Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Demarais, New Glasgow; son, Ralph (Betty), Island East River; sister, Isabel Nason, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dean MacAdam, sisters, Beatrice, Florence and Muriel, brother, Calvin.
A public memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow with Rev. Elliott Siteman officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Burial will be in Thorburn Cemetery. Family flowers only.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou, The Arthritis Society or a charity of your Choice.
