CLARKE On Sunday, July 15, 2007, Beatrice Clarke passed away at the Overlander Extended Care Hospital, Kamloops at the age of 75 years. She is survived by her loving husband Richard "Snuffy", her daughter Joy (Raymond) of Bonnyville, Alberta, her two sons Richard A. of Chase, B.C. and Jeff of Medicine Hat, Alberta, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Bea was predeceased by her father and her three sisters. Bea and Snuffy were married on June 21, 1958 in Camp Shilo, Manitoba. They worked together teaching swimming to children and life saving courses to adults. She attended Jr. Forest Warden camps as a nurse and first aider for several years in Entrance Park. She also assisted as a nurse at many Boy Scout Camps in Manitoba and Alberta. Bea always had time to teach anyone craft work, how to spin wool, knit and to weave. Later on in life Bea attended many Legion functions taking part many times in recognition of other veterans. The family wish to thank the staff of Overlander Extended Care Hospital (Evergreen) for the wonderful care of Bea. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chase Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 107 with Comrade Andy Phillips officiating. A private family interment will follow at Chase Cemetery. Should friends desire donations to the Legion Poppy Fund or the Legion Foundation in memory of Bea would be appreciated.
