Rena Savoy
SAVOY, RENA - Mrs. Rena May (Ross) Savoy widow of Neil Savoy of Burnt Church Road, Burnt Church NB passed away Tuesday morning, April 3, 2012 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 88. Born in Oak Point NB, she was the daughter of the late Colin C. and Laura (MacKnight) Ross. She was a homemaker and a member of St David’s United Church, Burnt Church. She also was a member of U.C.W., former choir member and member of Women’s Institute. She is survived by one daughter June Kerry of Moncton, one son Bradley Mills (Audrey) of Fredericton, one daughter-in-law, Mildred Savoy, one sister Catherine Zorn, eight grandchildren, Bethany Savoy, Patrick, David, Gregory and Emily Kerry, Neil, Dale and Cindy Mills and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Alexander Mills, her second husband Neil Savoy, one son Richard, two sisters, Marion Kethro and Jean Anderson, one brother, Oakley Ross.
Mrs. Rena May Savoy is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lori Beth Sheffield-Bowles officiating. Burial will follow in Burnt Church Union Cemetery. In memory of Rena donations made to NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, St David’s United Church Memorial Fund or Burnt Church Union Cemetery would be appreciated.
