Prémélite "Prem" Cormier

CORMIER, PRÉMÉLITE “PREM” - Prémélite "Prem" Cormier, 88, of Riverview, passed away on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born on January 17, 1924 in Saint-Damien, he was the son of the late Albert and Laudia (LeBlanc) Cormier. Before his retirement, Prem worked as a carman for CN and was past owner of Vet’s Trucking. He loved bowling and golfing. He is survived by his wife, Irma (LeBlanc); five sons: Val (Shirley), Dage (Giselle), Mike (Louise), Gérard and Jacques; two sisters: Yvoniste Pellerin and Elsie LeBlanc; three brothers: Calixte, Alvin (Florence) and Jules (Bernice); five grandchildren: Tracey (Derick), Krista, Mathieu (Jackie), Natasha and Danielle; three great-grandchildren: Sarah, Joshua and Ayla; several nieces and nephews, as well as a former daughter-in-law, Francine Cormier. He was predeceased by two brothers: Pius and Valmond.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Saturday April 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton, on Monday April 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
