HANK LANGE 1939 ~ 2007 It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Henry "Hank" Fred Lange Jr., on Sunday, July 29, 2007. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marilyn and daughters Teresa (Peter) of Calgary, Brenda (Kelly) of Kamloops, Kari (Barry) of Chilliwack, and Lee-Ann (Ron) of Likely, step-daughters Tami (Stacey) of Invermere and Kim (John) of Williams Lake; as well as his eleven grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sisters Emily (Johnny), Carol (Al), Marjorie (Ed), and Joyce (Harry), brother Dave (Marlene), Mother in-Law Bernice, Father in-Law Ray, Sister in-Law Paulette (Danny), and Brother in-Law Red (Lukas). He was also cherished by many dear relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his first wife, Ellen, his mother Natalie Lange, his father Henry Lange Sr., Father in-Law Orval Thompson and Mother in-law Maureen Gray. Henry was lovingly known as Hank. He was born in 1939 near St. Ouens, Manitoba. Hank moved with his family to Kamloops in 1952. He worked for the department of Highways for 33 years, most of those as a supervisor. He met Ellen in Kamloops and they shared 42 wonderful years together before her passing. Hank was blessed once again with a great love when he met Marilyn, his wife of the last 3 years. In fact, he was an avid Blazers fan, so it was fitting their favourite dates were at the hockey games. All who knew Hank knew him to be a humble and gentle man of strong honorable character. He loved hunting, fishing, catching vitamin D in the sun and working on projects with his hands. He really enjoyed camping holidays with family and friends. Because of his love for God, his favorite gathering was with his church family. Hank's ability to sense the feelings of others caused many people to be at ease and love him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Hank's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 4th, in Gateway City Church, 163 Oriole Rd, with Pastor Len DenBraber officiating. Viewing will take place on Friday, August 3, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, in the Rosewood Room at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive.
