Peter Donald KNIGHT May 11, 1926 - July 7, 2007 Peter Donald Knight passed away peacefully on July 7, 2007, at the age of 81. He is survived and lovingly missed by his sweetheart, Connie, and her sons Jerry, Dan (Kari), Peter's children Gordon (Karen), Ron, Linda (Jim), Greg (Myra), eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family, as well as his sister, Mary Stringer of Abbotsford. Peter is predeceased by his parents Archibald and Alice and his brother Arthur. Peter was born at White Rock, B.C. and raised in New Westminster, B.C. where he worked for a short time for Brackman & Kerr. He also worked at Fraser Mills in Mallardville. He began his career in the Provincial Corrections dept. in Burnaby, and later transferred to Campbell River and then on to Kamloops, where he eventually retired. His favorite times were spent socializing with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, and was an avid and excellent bowler in both five and ten pin leagues. NHL hockey was his other passion, and many evenings were spent in front of the television cheering on his players. He will be long remembered for his helpfulness and generosity, as well as for his quiet wisdom. His contagious laugh and quick wit will be missed by all who know him. Dad, Thanks for being you. Sorry we didn't have a chance to say goodbye. Only God knows how much we're going to miss you. Just know that we love you, and you'll forever be in our hearts. Bye for now, Dad
