Miriam Joy Drake September 17, 1918 - August 6, 2007 On August 6th, 2007 Miriam Drake passed peacefully from life into heaven where she has long wanted to be. She will be remembered with love by the many people who touched her life and whose lives she touched in Enderby, Salmon Arm, Surrey, Comox, Abbotsford, Prince George and Kamloops. Miriam was predeceased by her husband Bill. She leaves behind her five children - Sheila Flynn of Prince George, Mary (Ken) Widmer of Kamloops, Neil (Gayl) Drake of Salmon Arm, Martin (Liz) Drake of Wainwright, AB, and Patricia (Dave) Ballentyne of Kamloops - twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Many thanks to the many home support workers from Interior Health who enabled her to live at home for so many years, to the 2nd and 3rd floor staff of Ponderosa Lodge who cared for her so well during the months she lived there, and to Dr. Phil Sigalet who carefully watched over her medical needs during the five years that she lived in Kamloops. In praise to God for His grace in her life, Miriam's family invites friends to join them in a graveside service to be held at Hillside Cemetery on Thursday, August 9th, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with a reception to follow at 694 Lombard Street. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Canadian Sunday School Mission, Box 234, Three Hills, Alberta, TOM 2A0.
