With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the death in Ottawa, after a short illness, of Wallace Moores. Wallace was the beloved husband of Tina (Hogan); the loving and humorous father of Allison (Jeffrey Manthorpe) and Gregory; the dear younger son of Hersilia and the late Murray Moores; and the already greatly missed brother of Lorne (Ann); and a member of a large and loving extended Hogan family, especially cherished by mother-in-law Mary Hogan and sisters-in-law: Bonnie and Sherry, his Amazonian protectors. Also feeling a great loss are Wallace’s nieces, nephews and cousins, especially Lois (Barrett) Finn and friends and former colleagues in Brigus and Stephenville. Cremation has taken place and a celebration/reception will be held at Broughton’s Funeral Home in Brigus from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM on Monday, April 9, 2012, to be followed by inurnment with his father at Brigus United Church Cemetery.
