Passed in: British Columbia, Canada

Beverly Ann Bullock b. July 22, 1948 Bev passed away peacefully on the morning of August 3, 2007 in Edmonton. The grace and strength with which she approached life remained with her throughout her year-long battle with cancer. Bev was born and raised in Edmonton, where she also attended the University of Alberta. After graduating with a BSc in Physical Education in 1969 she traveled the world from Sydney to Saskatoon before coming to Kamloops in 1977 to raise her family. Bev, better known as "Ms B" to her many students, has taught in the school district since 1978. Prior to that, Bev introduced many children to water in her "Mommy & Me" classes at Westsyde Pool. She carried her previous recreation experience with her into her career as both an educator and a mother, encouraging play wherever she went. Bev gave generously with her time as a volunteer including in the hospice gardens, as a member of the Women's Institute and as a coach for many school and community teams. She was also well known as a dedicated soccer, football, basketball and volleyball mum who traveled to many a game to cheer on her children, Aidan and Genee, and their friends. The clouds were always lined with silver in Bev's world. She saw the beauty in everything she gazed on and brought out the best in everyone around her. Her enthusiasm towards life was contagious and while she will be missed, her love of life remains with all those whom she has touched. All are welcome at a Celebration of Bev's Life, which will be held at 877 Seneca Place on August 27th, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bev Bullock Outdoor Education Fund c/o the Kamloops Foundation, PO Box 15, Kamloops, BC, V2C 5K3 (www.bevbullockoutdooreducationfund.com) or to the Terry Fox Foundation
