April 29, 1928 - Dec. 13, 2009

Rina passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13th, 2009 at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home.

Rina was born on April 29, 1928 in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy and immigrated to Canada to start her new life in 1956.

She was predeceased by her husband, Elio, the pillar of strength in her life, on December 20, 1982.

She leaves behind her immediate family, sons Dennis (Sandra), Walter (Susan), Mario (Kathleen) and grandchildren Julia, Michael, Justin, Marina, Sarah and Adam. Rina also leaves behind her remaining siblings, nieces and nephews in her homeland of Italy, many friends and co-parishioners at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

The family would like to give special thanks to Angela Pellizzon (mom's "comare") for her unwavering friendship and support to Rina over the course of many years.

In addition, many thanks are offered to Doctors Steve Rollheiser, Allison Chung and the staff of RIH, 3 South, as well as the staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home. Your compassion and professionalism restores faith in humanity.

Prayers will be recited on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery.
