Melvin Charles Hennenfent passed away peacefully on December 13, 2009 in Kelowna. He is survived by daughter, Wendy; sons, Randy (Cheri), Brad (Kandy) and Hal (Joanne); sister, Lee (Jim); brother, Bill (Nessie); sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Duke) and Pat (George); brother-in-law, Ron (Doreen). He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other family members and numerous friends. Melvin was born on the farm in Saskatchewan and lived most of his life in Rowletta and Moose Jaw areas before coming to Kelowna in 1981. He was inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006 and was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Melvin was very involved in the community through his participation with Chamber of Commerce, Shrine Club and the Moose Jaw Devon's Baseball Club. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Brookhaven Care Centre in Westbank. Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Rowletta Civic Centre.
