Suddenly, in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, December 12, 2009 of Dennis James Handrahan, at the age of 55 years. Born in Tignish on January 4, 1954, dear friend of Frances Bennink of Calgary, and son of the late James Handrahan and Ida (nee Richard) Handrahan of the Tignish Seniors Home. Dear brother to Roy (Karen) of Pleasant View, Linda (Roger Richard) of Tignish, Billy of Calgary, Alberta and Bobby (Julie) of North Sinai, Egypt. He is also survived by his step-sons Chad & Dean; nieces and nephews, Glenda Hutchinson of O’Leary, Shelley Goguen of Tignish, Jason Handrahan of Fortune Cove, Melanie Pitre of Tignish, Glen Handrahan of Fredericton, N.B., Sarah Handrahan and Katie Handrahan of Dartmouth, N.S., and his grand-nephews, Nicholas & Sam Goguen, Alex Hutchinson, Pierce and Liam Handrahan, and grand-niece, Gracie Pitre. He was predeceased by his father James (Jimmy) Handrahan, and a sister-in-law, Donna Handrahan. Memorial service to take place at St. Simon & St. Jude Church in Tignish on December 30th at 2 p.m. Cremains will be buried in the church cemetery.
