GAUVIN, OMER - 1925 - 2012 - Omer Gauvin, 86, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Tuesday, April 10th, 2012, at his residence. Born in Dover, NB, he was the son of the late Alban and the late Marie-Anne (née: Bourgeois) Gauvin. Mr. Gauvin had worked for CN in the purchasing department. He is survived by one daughter, Lauda Gauvin (Guy Levasseur) of Blainville, QC; two sons: Bernard (Nora Robichaud) of Montreal, QC and Serge (Rita Daigle) of Dieppe; three sisters: Odette (Henry) Bourgeois of New Hampshire, Rita (Leo) Vautour of Dieppe and Rosina (Aime) Belliveau of Lakeville; five brothers: Francis (Doris) of Barachois, Normand of Moncton, Paul and Leo (Dorine) both of Dieppe and Leonard (Jeannita) of Massachusetts; six grandchildren: Nadia, Anik, Philippe, Camille, Anik and Nicolas as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite (née: LeBlanc) in 2005; one sister, Jeannine and also two brothers: Fidel and Aldorie.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Friday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at 11 am. Interment in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery.
