Margaret Almeda Tames August 16, 1920 - August 30, 2007 Margaret was born in the small town of Bestville, Sask. in 1920. From that time on she was a cheerful and strong lady that valued family above all other things. She met her husband Bill in Creston and married him in 1940, starting a family right away. During her early years with Bill she made it a priority to raise her children and managed to handle 6 young ones while canning, baking and running a large household. They moved to Kamloops in 1968 and remained in the same home since then. In her later years she spent a great deal of time with her grandchildren while still picking berries, making jam and sewing. Her spare time was spent keeping up with Bill's antics and enjoying her life and her family to the fullest! She was looking forward to her 67th wedding anniversary this October. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; Her sons Gerry (Bev) and their children Donnie, Debbie and Jeannie of Cranbrook, Larry (Pat) and their children Kim and Kellie of Kimberley, and Les (Barb) of Kamloops; Her daughters Diane Fisher (Allan) of Chase and their children Bonnie and Bobbi of Kamloops, Bonnie Anhalt (John) and her children Julianne of Kamloops and William of Edmonton and Julie Dufour (Lorne) of Langley. Margaret also leaves behind 12 great grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by her sisters Ruth Rickson and Ginger Dinney. Also left to cherish her memory are her special daughter Nancy and granddaughter Jody. She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary as well as her brothers Kenneth, Fred and Howard and her sisters Hazel, Teresa and Ethel. Margaret left a strong legacy of caring and strength for her large family. Her creativeness, thoughtfulness, sense of humor and caring will always be remembered. Special thanks to Dr. Stefanyk and the staff and volunteers at Pinegrove Care Centre and the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home for their help for Margaret and her family during her struggles in the past year. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Len Den Braber officiating.
