ARMSTRONG, DON - The death of Donald James Armstrong, age 93, husband of Fern (Vail) Armstrong, of Norton, NB, occurred at his residence on April 13, 2012. He was born on February 5, 1919, in Apohaqui, NB, the son of the late James and May (Attoe) Armstrong. Don is survived by his wife of 64 years, Fern; daughters Bev Armstrong of Hampton, NB, Judy and her husband Sherman Bastarache of Abbotsford, BC, Nancy and her husband Allen Extell of Quispamsis, NB; daughter-in-law Lynn Armstrong of Nauwigewauk, NB; grandchildren Ryan and his wife Suzanne Armstrong, Andrew Bastarache, Jill and her husband Ryan Tobin, Angela Extell, Joshua Extell; four sister-in-laws, two brother-in-laws; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by is son Bob in February 2012.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Tom Robinson, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, followed by a private family interment for Don and his son Bob in Riverbank Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Don, may be made to the Extra Mural Program or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
