Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 of Joseph Hayes of Charlottetown and formerly of Glenfinnan, age 70. Loving brother of Mary Waite and beloved uncle of Chris Waite and Darlene Dunn (Jason). Joe will also be fondly missed by two grandnieces and four grandnephews. He was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Nellie Hayes, sister Lottie Powers and brother-in-law Jimmy Powers. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Thursday, December 17, 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 18, at St. Patrick's Church, Fort Augustus at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Ryan Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
