Sampson, Fowncess Kathleen — 70, of Windsor, Hants County, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with her family by her side. Born on April 18, 1941, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Eleanor (Sampson) States. Fowncess was a homemaker who enjoyed being at home and enjoyed spending time with her parents, family and friends. Although a quiet person she enjoyed listening to music, writing her own songs and singing them. She enjoyed summer visits from her brother, Bunny at which time Fowncess, Bunny and her sisters would sit around harmonizing. She is survived by her son, Tony; grandsons, Nathan and Gregory; special granddaughter, Trishalena and her children; great-granddaughter, Haley; sisters, Priscilla, Donna and Delphina; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Cecil. She was predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Eleanor (Sampson) States; her brother, Douglas “Bunny”; great nephew, Catlin. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, in the Windsor Plains Baptist Church, Highway 1, Three Mile Plains. The Reverend Jennifer Riley officiated.
