EDWARD FORTIER Edward Alexis Fortier was born May 26, 1921 and passed away in hospital after a long illness (Parkinson's) in Gourock, Scotland on Saturday, September 22, 2007. He is survived by his wife Mabel and brother Clarence (Caroline) Fortier and brother-in-law Allen Williams, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Edgar and Mathilde (Sisiouloux aka Louis) Fortier, brothers Charles, Johnny; sisters Christine (Dolly) Eustache, Josephine Wenlock, Lucy Rosie Thomas, Ida Williams. Eddy was a World War II and Korean Veteran. He worked for the CN Rail, prospected with Paul Lafleur, fought forest fires, assisted farmers/ranchers, he was a great musician and yodeller and one of his favourite songs was "May you never be alone like me". Eddy excelled in athletics in the army and within the BC Interior - baseball, long distance races, and hockey, as well as other sports. He spent time visiting his family and friends, and always had stories to share and loved to tease. Services and burial were held at Gourock, Scotland on Thursday, September 27, 2007. Memorial Services will be held at St. John the Baptiste Church at Chu Chua, B.C. on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m
