Teressa Lillian Lane, age 83, of Port Elgin, passed away peacefully at the Westford Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 13, 2012.
Born in Malden, she was a daughter of the late John and Lillian (Lane) Olsen.
She was formerly employed at Cole's Hardware before her retirement.
She will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Brenda Wall (Hank Wolvers), Cape Tormentine, Cathryn Lane, Moncton, Susan Doucette, Moncton and Karen (Ray) Calder, Beamsville, ON; two sons, Kenneth (Darlene), Bayfield and Brian (Carol), Hamilton, ON; a sister, Dorothy Lane, Moncton, grandchildren Melanie, Christopher, David, Fred, Catherine, Evan, James, Denis, Jennifer and Kelly; and nine great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Fred in 2008, a son Ronald in 1980 and a daughter, Wanda in 1951, brothers, Edwin, Herbert and Albert and sisters, Hilda Peers and Edith McGlashing.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin, (506-538-2241), where visiting hours were held on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. A graveside service was held at the Bayfield Cemetery on Monday, April 16, 2012, at 1 p.m., William Drysdale DLM officiating.
