
Leo Gallant
The death occurred suddenly, but peacefully, at Andrews Lodge, Summerside, P.E.I. of Leo Edward Gallant on Tuesday, April 17th, 2012 in his 92nd year. Born in Piusville July 9th, 1920, then moved to Bloomfield corner, where he farmed and conducted business until his official retirement in 2010. Present residence was Andrews Lodge, Summerside, P.E.I. Leo was the son of the late Mosey and Lauretta (nee Martin)(Gallant) and step son to the late John T Gallant. He is survived by his 11 children: Donny (Holly), Jeannie (Myron), Dougie, Robert (Gen), Debbie, Richard (Laurie), Vivian, Joanne (Frank), Martin (Sue), Claudette (Brad), Janice (Dave) and very special friend Jane Duguay. Loving Grandfather to Kim, Deanna, Chris, Terri, Mindy, Bobbi-Jo, Pam, Jackie, Chad, Darryl, Brittni, Danielle, Katie, Josh, Paige and Garrett. Loving great grandfather to Breanna, Nicholas, Ben, Jacob, Ava, Carter, Cameron, Chandler, Isabella, Abigail, Elizabeth, MacKenzie, Austin and Owen. Also several neices and nephews. Dear brother to Alyre (Margaret), Edna (Bill), Beatrice, Marie, Mildred (Clarence), Clifford (Rita) and Marion. Brother and sisters in laws Alisha, Bernadette, Elaine (Don), Audrey and Marjorie. He was predeceased by his parents Mosie and Lauretta (nee Martin) Gallant, his loving wife Theresa (Pineau) Gallant and brothers Martin, Edgar, Tilmon, Elmer and his mother and father in law Urban and Jenny Pineau(nee LeClair). Also predeceased by sister in laws Viola,Yvonne, Marie and brother in laws: Freddy Romano,Greg Lynch, David Noonan, Reginald Pineau,Tony Doirion, Jim Gallant, Alan Todd and Charlie Rogan and by daughter in law Mary (O'Halloran) Gallant, neices and nephews Alan Gallant, John Doirion , Cathy Noonan, Alvin Gallant, and Derrick Heart. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with visiting hours Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday until 10 a.m. then to St Anthony's Church, Woodstock for Funeral mass at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In memory of Leo, memorials to St Anthony's Cemetery or Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
