Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in the presence of his loving family at the Health Science Centre, Edgar Belbin, age 88 years. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Lillian (Cook); sister Ruth Guzzwell and brother Fraser Belbin. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his loving wife of 61 years Shirley (nee Guzzwell); daughter Patricia Montes (George Courage); sons Robert (Elizabeth) and Peter (Cheri); seven grandchildren: Jessica and Jonathon Montes, Heather and Mark (Joanne King), Samantha, Jake and Amy Belbin; sister Vira Guzzwell; brother Douglas (Mary); also a large number of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff and doctors of 4 South B at the Health Science Centre for their care and support shown to Edgar and his family during his stay. Cremation has taken place at Edgar’s request. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Family will be receiving visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 2 p.m. from St. Philip’s Anglican Church. Interment to follow in St. Philip’s Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Edgar’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice or to the St. Philip’s Anglican Church.
