It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jimmy on April 17, 2012, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Inverness, he was the son of the late James Alexander and Mary Sarah (MacDougall) MacIsaac.
Jimmy was a retired coal miner, having worked in number 12 and Lingan mines. Being a very private person, his family was most important to him and his grandchildren were his pride and joy, especially when they would accompany him to his bungalow in Glenville, Inverness, which he enjoyed and spent his summers there fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Isabel (Cadden); sons, Jimmy (Maureen), New Waterford, Kenny (Lisa), Halifax, Stephen (Crystal), Calgary; daughters, Willena (Lorne) MacDonald, New Waterford, and Donna (Frankie) McDaniel, Margaree; sisters, Annie, Rose, Gloria and Mary Agnes; brothers, Tommy, Ontario, Sonny, Montreal, and Jackie (Theresa), Glace Bay; grandchildren, Lesley, Garett, Bianca, Savannah, Steve, Justin, Miranda, Madison, Claudia, Jamie and Gregory, and great-grandchild, Roisin.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by brothers, Albert, Alex Dan, sisters, Mary and Margaret, mother-in-law, Carmella Cadden and sister-in-law, Eileen Odo.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500 and a chapel service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held Tuesday, April 24 at 2 p.m. with Deacon Leo Penny officiating in the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow at the KOC, Plummer Avenue. All are welcome.
