ARSENAULT, CELIA - 1936 - 2012 - Celia Arsenault of Grande-Digue passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L. Dumont University Center Hospital on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the age of 75. She was the spouse of Alcide Arsenault, they were married on July 20, 1957. Born in Sainte-Anne de Kent on November 6, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Ernest and the late Marguerite (Cormier) Savoie. She will be sadly missed by her spouse, Alcide, her daughters; Sharon Melanson (Maurice) of Westminster, Ma, and Patricia MacDonald of Fitchburg, Ma, her two grandchildren Chantelle Ricci and Rebecca MacDonald, her three great grandchildren; Dominic, Cooper and Teighan, her three sisters; Exilda Goguen (Alderice) of New Britain, Conn, Eva Maillet (Ivan) of West Palm Beach, Fl, Therese Allain (Paul) of Charlottetown, her four brothers; Laurie (Bernice) of Waltham, Abel (Regina) of Leominster, Normand of Fitchburg, Gerald of Moncton, her sister-in-law Stella as well as several nieces and nephews. Celia was predeceased by a son Thomas, a sister Edith and a brother Aquila. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of the palliative care unit at the Georges L. Dumont Hospital for the exceptional care they provided to their beloved Celia, and to Ivan and Vivian Hicks for honoring Celia's wish by performing her favorite song.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Saturday April 21, 2012 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm. Funeral service to be held at the St-Edward the Confessor Church, Westminster, Ma at a later date. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Westminster, Ma.
