It is with great sorrow that we, Colleen’s family, regret to announce her passing on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of 50 years. Left to mourn with loving and treasured memories: her husband, Terry; sons: Mark (Amanda) and Brian (Theresa); parents, Marjorie and Wilbur Brake, all of Corner Brook; brother, Byron (Judy) Brake of Deer Lake and sister, Lorna (Blair) Myers of New Glasgow, NS and grandmother, Hannah Burton of Corner Brook. Also left to mourn are: mother-in-law, Martha (Mae) Pennell; brothers-in-law: Gord (Judy Bennett) Pennell, Randy (Moya Lockyer) Pennell, Todd (Rebecca) Pennell, all of Corner Brook, Albert (Betty) Pennell of Bay Roberts, NL, Clayton (Angela) Pennell of Fort McMurray, AB, Steve (Lesa) Pennell of St. John’s, NL and Rick (Sharon) Pennell of Stephenville, NL; sisters-in-law: Louise (Colin) Howse of Mount Pearl, NL, Ruby (Howard) Hull of St. John’s, NL, Connie Pennell of St. John’s, NL and Sandra (Bruce) Fiander of Quispamsis, NB. Also left to mourn are numerous nieces, aunts, uncles, nephews, relatives and friends, including those at the Bank of Montreal. Colleen was predeceased by grandfather, William Burton and father-in-law, Leonard Pennell. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, December 18, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Salvation Army Temple, O’Connell Drive, on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Majors Calvin & Loretta Fudge officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
