ARCAND – Theresa Rose (nee Roy)
May 6, 1945 – December 13, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa Rose Arcand, age 64 years, on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Leaving to mourn her passing are her husband George; her sons Brian (Shannon), Dale (Tammy who was tragically taken from us on December 12, 2009) and Chris (Donna); her daughters Jenny (Darrell), Hazel, Audrey and Georgette and her three adopted children Vance, Violet and Brydon. She also leaves to mourn her mother Elsie Roy; her brothers Vital (Pat) Roy and Darwin (Lori) Roy; her sister Norma “Tiny” (Mark) Lischka, 19 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Theresa was predeceased by her beloved babies George and Gordon Arcand; her daughter-in-law Tammy Stene-Arcand; her brother Alec Joseph Roy; her nephew Phillip Albert Roy; her father Albert Roy; her grandmother Beatrice Sandher and good friend and sister-in-law Cecile Arcand. Mom will be sadly missed as she touched the hearts of all those who were in her life. She always thought of others before herself and taught others around her that the gift of life, family and love was more important that material possessions and belongings. Mom loved all her grandchildren, they were her life, they made her feel youthful and young. She loved the scenery of nature. She would often go home to Dore Lake, where she would pick berries, sit around the fire and visit friends and family. She was faithful to the St. Laurent Shrine never missing a year and really enjoyed packing up all her kids and grandchildren to go camping for a couple of days. Wake Service will commence at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the P.A. Union Center, 107 – 8th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2009 with Celebrant Reverend Father Maurice Fiolleau at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 – 4th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK. Interment will be held at the St. Laurent Shrine Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to St. Laurent Shrine. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
