It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lottie Reid announces her passing on Thursday, December 17th, 2009 at the 6th Floor of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, at the age of 80 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Gordon; four children: Karen (Howard) Jesso, Fort McMurray, AB, Gloria Young (Cyril), Kitchener, ON, Barbara (Randy) Baker, Corner Brook and Tony (Nancy) Reid, Lower Sackville, NS; five grandchildren: Michael Jesso, Sherri-Lynn (Chris) Jones, Shawn Young (Vikki), Christopher Baker and Jeffery Reid; five great-grandchildren: Zachary and Alyson Jones, Colton, Colbie and Ethan; sisters: Marjorie Ryan, Beth Ryder (Stuart) and Judy Joyce (Norbert); brother, Ralph McWhirter; sisters-in-law: Violet White, Alma Earle and Daphne Sparkes, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Harold, 1994. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 19th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street, Reverend Kathy Brett officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to Humber United Church Memorial fund.
