DeBOW, GERTRUDE JOAN - It is with great sadness the family of Gert “Trudy” DeBow announce her death which occurred on April 22, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John October of 1939 to the late Stillman and Catherine (Reid) Brown. Trudy was the first female Manager of US and Canadian Carriers and worked for over 55 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Trudy is survived by her only son and daughter-in-law Darren and Trudy DeBow; four precious grandchildren Mary, Brandon, Aaron and Danielle; brothers Danny, David and Donnie; sisters Susie, Marg and Kim all of Saint John; nieces, nephews, brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, friends and feline friend Sweetums. Besides her parents, Trudy was predeceased by her husband Richard DeBow and brother Terry.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Celebration of life will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 25th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
