Audrey Leahey
LEAHEY, AUDREY - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Audrey Leahey announce her passing at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Monday, April 23, 2012. Audrey was a much loved and respected teacher, who always expected and received the very best from her students. Many of her young chargers often referred to her as Miss "Lady" and eagerly waited for a drive home in her yellow "bug". Audrey was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was the only daughter of Thomas J. Leahey and Mary Lauretta (Casey) Leahey. She was predeceased by her parents and her six brothers and one nephew; John J., William M., Father Edward, Charles J., Arthur R. and Thomas B. and her nephew Thomas W. Audrey is survived by two sisters-in-law-Patricia, of Rothesay and Marjorie, of Halifax; 21 nieces and nephews; 45 great nieces and great nephews and two special friends, Barbara Coombs and Florence McLaughlin. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Garden Court, at Rocmaura Nursing Home who were so good and kind to Audrey for the past ten years; and the spiritual guidance of Father William Phillips and Sister Anita Naves.
