MONTEITH, MARY "MARGARET" - Mary “Margaret” Monteith passed away April, 24, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born August 24, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Patterson) Ellis. Margaret would be best known by the places she worked, Schurman’s, Color Your World and Downey Ford Lincoln. Margaret is survived by her son, Gary (Kay) Ellis; brothers, Lester (Sandra) Ellis; Glendon (Barbara) Ellis; sister-in-law, Joy Ellis; special friend and her Angel, David Patterson; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband, William “Bill” Monteith; and brother, Frank Ellis.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Margaret’s wishes there will be no formal visitation. A public graveside service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to SPCA Animal Rescue League and Palliative Care Unit at Saint John Regional Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
