The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, December 17, 2009 of Al Bourgeois of Hope River, formerly of St. Marie de Kent, N.B, age 68. Al was the beloved husband of Estelle, loving father of Eldon and grandfather of Gabriel. He is also survived by his brother, Alfred (Doreen), Trenton, Ont., mother-in-law, Cecily Gallant, aunt, Elise Babineau, Buctouche, N.B., sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa Smith (Jim), Mary Connolly (Robert), Gerard (Malerie), Bernie (Michel), Frances (Carl), Anne Christopher (Charlie), Charlie (Aletha), Kent (Shirley), Wendy Gallant, Karen Gallant (Lee), Paul (Barb) and Laura Larkin (Tony), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Christine Bourgeois, and his father-in-law, Alphie Gallant. Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Rd., New Glasgow, P.E.I. for visitation on Sunday, December 21, 2009 from 2 - 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Hope River on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Anne's Church Cemetery.
