The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, April 23, 2012, of Mary Inman Howatt of Summerside, aged 95 years. Born in Miramichi, N.B., she was the daughter of the late John and Caroline (Stewart) McInnis. Survived by her daughter Gail (Basil) Stewart, Summerside; grandchildren Mary Jane (Steve) Dyer, Summerside; Major (Holly) Stewart, Summerside; great-grandchildren Amber, Emma, Madison and Lincoln Dyer; Mya, Brett and Isaac Stewart; sister Nan White, Summerside; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Major Inman; her second husband Vernon Howatt; brothers Sterling, Joseph and Jack McInnis, sisters Elizabeth "Sis" (Ralph) Razavet, and Margaret (Dan) MacLaughlin; and by brothers-in-law Ray White and Lloyd(Dorothy) Inman. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
