As the result of an automobile accident, on Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, of Harry George Higginbotham of Seal River and formerly of Murray River and Halifax, age 66 years. Beloved husband and soulmate of Millicent (nee Soper). Dear father of Neil, Annapolis Valley; Andrew (Karen), Musqodobit Harbour; Chris (Eileen), Kensington; Darlene (Kimble) MacLean, Montague; Jeffrey (Renee), Cornwall; and Janice (Mike) Belliveau, Dieppe. Loving grandfather of Brona and Liam Higginbotham, Tyler (Papa\'s Bud) and Alyssa MacLean, Aidan and Caitlin Higginbotham and Mathieu Belliveau. Also survived by his brother Roy, his sister Carol (Peter) Deveaux, his brother-in-law Fred (Wanda) Soper, his sisters-in-law Valda (Wayne) Gillis, Debbie (Jack) Laine, by his close cousins Sterling (Wanda) Higginbotham and Margaret Murphy, by his aunts Janie and Irene and by several nieces and nephews. Harry spent over 21 years in the Canadian Navy before retiring in 1980. He moved back to his home province and started up a machine welding shop. Harry was predeceased by his first wife Carol Best and by his parents Neil and Madeline (nee Doucette) Higginbotham. Resting at Ferguson\'s Montague Funeral Home until Friday, then to the Montague Church of Christ for funeral service at 3 p.m. Interment in the Peters Road Cemetery. Visitation: Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired, memorials to the Canoe Cove Christian Camp would be appreciated. www.fergusonsfh.com
