The death occurred surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, of Albert Joseph DesRoches of Summerset Manor, Summerside, and formerly of Borden-Carleton, aged 87 years. Albert was born on March 10, 1921, to his late parents, Anthony and Angelina (nee Arsenault) DesRoches. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Ralph (Helen) of Borden-Carleton, Austin of Central Bedeque, Margaret (Ralph) Arsenault of Summerside and Fred (Joan) of Borden-Carleton. Also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Albert was predeceased by his brothers George (Mary), Edmond, and Henry. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Friday, then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place later in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Albert's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.
