CHAFE, Mr. Gordon L.– Passed peacefully away at his late residence, Clarke’s Beach on Thursday, December 17, 2009, Mr. Gordon L. Chafe of Clarke’s Beach, formerly of the Goulds, aged 83 years. Predeceased by parents Edwin and Clara Chafe, brothers Edward (Effie), Amieal (Margaret), Charlie (Harriet), Edwin and David, brothers-in-law Gordon Meadus, James Nicol and Irving Morris. Leaving to mourn wife Sandra (nee Tulk) Chafe; sons: James, Jerome, Paul; daughters: Linda, Jennifer, Elizabeth, and their mother Joan Hennessey; sisters: Lillian Meadus, Augusta Morris; sister-in-law Geraldine Chafe and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Clarke’s Beach. Visitation Saturday 7-9 p.m., Sunday 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m., Monday 10-12 noon. Funeral service on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Moore’s Funeral Home, Clarke’s Beach. Interment in the Non-Denominational Christian Cemetery, Shearstown.
