The family of the late Jeanette Marie McKinnon would like to thank all those individuals who were there for us during such a difficult time. Your presence helped to lighten our burden. We were grateful for your company and to hear your lovely memories of Jeanette. We would like to extend a special thank you to her dear friend Mary MacIsaac for all of her kindness, love and support. Jeanette held a special place in her heart for her family and their presence throughout her illness gave her the strength and courage she needed. The care and compassion she received as a patient (a very different role for her) made a hard time more bearable. A special thank you goes out to the staff at the Northside General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, the staff at the Cape Breton Cancer Center, Dr. Beth McCormick and Dr. Ron McCormick...we thank all of you for everything you have done. To Kenny MacGillivary and his staff, thanks for your professional care. Finally, we would like to say thank you to all the RN’s who participated in the Honour Guard at the funeral. This was a special tribute to a special woman and we thank you for this. Jeanette was very proud or her profession.
