Anice Scott
SCOTT, ANICE - It is with great sadness in our hearts the family announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother Anice Elsie (McKee) Scott, which occurred on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital following a valiant battle with cancer. Born 1936 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Horsman) McKee. Anice was an active member of Red Head United Church. She was employed for several years with NBLC and greatly enjoyed the many friendships she made with her coworkers. She is survived by her loving husband Douglas of Red Head; son Douglas W. (Laura) and daughter A. Mary Scott Keniston both of Saint John; grandchildren Ronald, Theresa, Jill, Shane and Emma; great-grandchildren Malcolm, Madison, Adrian, William, Isabel and Mackenzie; brothers Elwin (Janet) of Sussex and Malcolm “Mackie” (Anna) of Saint John.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Monday, April 30, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Red Head United Church on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. followed by a reception in the church hall hosted by the U.C.W. Interment will take place at a later date. The Scott family will never be able to adequately express our enormous gratitude to the doctors, nurses and support staff of the Palliative Care Unit, known to Anice as her “House of Angels”. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, remembrances to the Palliative Care Unit or the Red head United Church would be appreciated by the family. www.fundyfuneralhome.com …and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
