It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ida May Cloutier, Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at the Cove Guest Home.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Mac Donald) Horne.
She is survived by her brother, Robert (Bob) Cobourg, Ont. as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Paul, brothers, Henry and Donald, sisters, Christine, Ruby, Etta, Effie and Patricia.
Following her marriage she resided in Montreal until the early 1970s when she returned to Cape Breton. Ida was a very sociable person and enjoyed the many new friends she made over the past five years. We extend special thanks to the Cove Guest Home for their tender loving care.
A funeral service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Whent officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cove Building Fund.
