Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay on Friday, April 27, 2012 Maggie King (nee White) age 96 years. Maggie was born at Greenspond on October 5, 1915 to the late Emma and Laban White. She is predeceased by her husband Walter; son Walter Jr.; daughter Pearl White; brothers Walter White, James White, Alexander White and Thomas White; sisters Pearl Feltham and Annie Woodford. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Pleman (Marjorie) of Valleyfield; daughters Eliza White (Hubert) of Valleyfield, Thelma Bates( Chesley) of Bishop’s Falls and Hilda Perry (Gerald) of Valleyfield; son-in-law Levi White of Valleyfield; special nieces Marie Haggett of Ontario and Lucy Stride of Bishop’s Falls; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service took place at Grace Pentecostal Church, Valleyfield on Sunday, April 29, 2012 with Pastor Nathaniel Osmond officiating, assisted by Pastor Dwayne Mews. Interment followed at The Pentecostal Cemetery, Valleyfield. Donations in her memory may be made to The Grace Pentecostal Cemetery Fund, Valleyfield.
