TINGLE On November 12, 2007 Carolyn Fay Tingle passed away at the age of 63 years. Carolyn was born in Kamloops on October 4, 1944. She was the 4th child of William and Carol Blake of Kamloops. Carolyn, a devoted mother, will be remembered by her loving husband of 45 years Jim; her children Tyler Tingle of Kamloops and Glen Tingle of Winnipeg and grandchildren James and William. She is also survived by her older siblings, brother Bill Blake of Kamloops, Elva Standish of Qualicum Beach and Barb Johnson of Trail, B.C. Carolyn leaves many cousins, nephews and nieces. Carolyn attended nursing school, graduating in 1965. She then moved to Merritt to be where she and her husband chose to make their home for the next 42 years. They moved to Kamloops in 2004. During the 70's she was involved with the Boy Scouts organization along with her husband Jim. She was an avid crocheter who spent many hours making items for her family and relatives. She was an active member for over 35 years with the Beta Sigma Phi organization and was a chartered member of the Merritt Chapter. Her love to travel took her to places such as: Toronto, Bella Coola, Dawson Creek, Prince Rupert, Las Vegas and Alaska. She also spent a number of years being a BC Provincial Parks host. A Celebration of Carolyn's life will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 201-635 Victoria Street, Kamloops, B.C. V2C 2B3 or the Canadian Cancer Society, Unit 111, 450 Lansdowne Street, Kamloops, B.C. V2C 1Y3 in memory of Carolyn would be appreciated.
