The death of Harold Francis Bridges of King Street East, Saint John, occurred on Sept. 20, 2008, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in P.E.I. in 1944, he was the son of the late Henry and Agatha (Malone) Bridges. Harold loved spending time with his children and family. He is survived by his eight children Anne Vance (Terry) of Ontario, Carrie Elliott (Ken) of Ontario, David Wilson (Bonnie) of B.C., Kimberly MacPhail (Stephen) of P.E.I., Katrina James (Alan) of P.E.I., Amanda Dean (Grant) of P.E.I., Harold Preston of P.E.I. and April Preston of P.E.I..; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Iva Everett, of Ontario, Justin Bridges of Saint John, Bernetta Reeves (Bruce) of P.E.I., Trudy Matheson of Ontario, Doreen Bridges (Rudolphe) of Saint John, Diane Brown (Norman) of Ontario, Kenny Bridges (Lucia) of P.E.I., Richard Bridges (Gwendy) of Saint John, Albert Bridges (Sondra) of P.E.I., Leo Bridges (Nancy) of Ontario, Joyce Dean (Richard) of Saint John, Leonard Bridges (Darlene) of P.E.I. and Genevieve Wilson (John) of Ontario; and many nieces and nephews. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John (506-646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday Sept. 23, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday Sept. 24, 2008 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in Saint Brigids, Foxley River, P.E.I. at 4 p.m. The family would appreciate donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice.
