Margaret Jean, age 83 of Halifax, passed away September 19th, 2008 at home. Born in Coleman, P.E.I., she was the daughter of Lyman \"Moody\" and Sarah \"Sadie\" (MacPhee) Lockhart. Margaret worked during WWII at an airplane-manufacturing factory in Toronto. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cottage in East Bideford, P.E.I. Margaret was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, and all were welcome at her home and cottage. She is survived by her daughters Beth (Mark) Crosby, Wolfville, Holly MacNevin (Jim Reid), Lake Echo, Nicola MacNevin, Halifax; son Gregory (Margaret) MacNevin, Souris, PEI, Alex MacNevin; daughter in law Mary MacNevin, both of Halifax; sister Marjorie MacCaull, Ellerslip, PEI. She was a special Nana to 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by husband Athol MacNevin and brothers Lorne, John and David Lockhart. Visitation will be held from Monday 2-4 and 7-9 in Atlantic Funeral Home 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 2pm from Rockingham United Church, Rev. Paulette Phillips officiating. Reception to follow. Burial will be held Wednesday 3 p.m. in Bideford United Church Cemetery, Bideford, P.E.I. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bideford United Church Cemetery.
