The death occurred at the Garden Home on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, of Mr. Leonard A. McDonald, formerly of Stratford, age 72 years.
Beloved brother of Bernadette “Bernie†MacIntyre, Lawrence "Larry" McDonald, Leo (Bev) Roberts and Lloyd (Edith) Roberts; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold Blacquiere, Judy McDonald, Gerald "Jerry" McDonald and Marjorie McDonald. Leonard will also be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Aeneas and Estelle (Dunn) McDonald; his sister, Catherine Blacquiere; brothers, Gerald "Jerry" McDonald and Gerard McDonald.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 Thursday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
If so desired, memorials in Leonard’s memory may be made to the P.E.I. Division of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Visiting hours at the funeral home on Wednesday evening 6 to 9 p.m.
