SIMMS, DONALD G. - 1943 - 2012 - Donald (Don) G. Simms, 69, of Riverview, with his loving family by his side, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Sydney, NS, he was the son of the late Gordon and Edna (Hussey) Simms. He was a member of the commissionaires. He is survived by loving wife Carolyn (Duffney) Simms, one daughter, Brenda Arsenault (Leslie) of Riverview, and two sons; Blair of Oromocto and David of Dieppe, brother Wes Simms (Philene) of Sydney, N.S., four grandchildren Dakota, Chase, Gabriel and Sophie whom he loved dearly and numerous nephews, nieces and relatives.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Crematione Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Monday from 7 to 9 PM, In honoring Don’s request a private family service will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Brent Ham officiating. The interment will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Don’s memory to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
