Stocki,Carl Edward-passed away peacefully at the Victoria Union Hospital in Prince Albert on April 27,2012 at the age of 74 in the company of his family.

In Wakaw,Sask on July 24,1937,Carl was the youngest of four children born to Thomasz and Mary Stocki.Carl was raised on the family farm in the Tarnopol district with his older sister Stella.Together they attended school at Hazel Lake,Sask.At the age of thirteen,Carl discontinued school to farm along side his father Thomasz,until Thomasz could no longer farm.Carl put aside his dream of becoming a RCMP officer to farm the homestead.Thomasz and Mary entrusted the family farm to Carl and moved to Tarnopol. Carl remained on the family homestead as farming became a great passion of his and the first love of his life,until at the age of twenty, when he met Janet Wolitski at a dance.The two were later married on July 19,1959 on the farm. Carl and Janet raised six daughters.Carl is survived by: his wife Janet Stocki, his daughters Bernadette (Ron) Hickox, Prince Albert, Mathilda (Ken)Hidelbaugh, Tisdale, Adeline Gunnarson, Prince Albert, Diane (Bob) Dyck, Yellow Creek, Marianne (Al) Reiter, Middle Lake, and Amanda (Marlin) Holm,Yellow Creek, numerous foster children - some of which have remained in contact with the family: Lawrence (Darlene) Halkett, Little Red, Isaiah Halkett, Little Red, and Christie Halkett, Prince Albert, his sister Stella Powalinski, Kinistino, 17 Grandchildren,10 Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous neices, nephews, relatives, and friends. Carl was predeceased by: his parents Thomasz and Mary Stocki,one brother and one sister in infancy, his parents-in-law John & Annie Wolitski, his brother-in-law Bill Powalinski a nephew in infancy, seven uncles, and seven aunts. While Carl's children were attending school in Yellow Creek, SK, he served as a trustee member on the school board and at the time of his passing was the trustee of the Hazel Lake school. In 1969 Carl briefly left the farm to work in Lynn Lake, Manitoba at the mine with his uncle Peter Kowalski. Carl leaves behind a legacy of memories surrounding his love of farming, wood crafting, carpentry, hunting, fishing, and his love of nature. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his great strength, hard work, loyalty, honesty, family values, willingness to help others, and his sence of humour.

Prayer Vigil was held at the St.Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Wakaw on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of the Christian Burial was held at the St.Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Wakaw on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.Fr. Phong Tran as celebrant. Family and Friends said our final goodbye to Carl Stocki at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Cemetery Tarnopol, Sask where he was placed to rest by his grandsons:Justin Gunnarson, Ryan Stocki and Brendon Reiter, his sons-in-law: Ron Hickox, Marlin Holm, and his nephew Mark Powalinski. We will keep you forever close in our minds and our hearts as Carl is no further away than a picture and the crisp autumn sun.
