In Loving Memory LAWRENCE SHANNON 1919 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lawrence Shannon at Kamloops Seniors Village on December 1st, 2007 with his family at his side. Dad is survived by his three daughters - Sharon (Terry) Brown, Marlene (Ernie) Wurmlinger, Deb (Tom) Hewitt, nine grandchildren - Tracey (Dan) Helly, Kim (Geoff) Lee, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Jarrett, Lindsay, Misty, Kristy, Allison, eight great grandchildren as well as many special friends. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Elva of 60 years and his sister, Marion. Dad and Mom operated the Rising Sun Ranch at Red Lake for many years. He was an avid fisherman and had his "secret" lakes. His fishing partner "Bingo" was his constant companion. Dad and Mom enjoyed their winters at Yuma for many years. Rodeos also played a big part in his life. He was an active member of the Criss Creek Cattleman's Association. He was a "no complaints" kind of guy and was loved by all who knew and cared for him. Special thanks go out to the nurses and caregivers at Kamloops Seniors Village, (especially his little nurse, Ramin), Dr. Cheung and Dr. Filek, and nurses at Royal Inland Hospital emergency department, and Ponderosa Lodge, as well as his home care aides, Lorraine, Shirley, Sheila and Sandy. A Funeral Service will be held at Kamloops Funeral Home, at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 8th, 2007 with Pastor Darrell Hellquist officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon, 201 - 635 Victoria Street, Kamloops, BC, V2C 2B3 in Lawrence's memory. Kamloops Funeral Home 554-2577
