JAMES McDOUGALL Our sweet Dad, Grandpa and "Papa - Jim" passed away Tuesday, December 11th, 2007 at 4:10 P.M. Dad, Grandpa, Papa-Jim was predeceased by both his parents, his brother Don and his wife Rita Elizabeth. Dad, Grandpa, Papa-Jim is loved and cherished by his family - Jo and Adrian Berry (Makena and Gabrielle); Gord McDougall and Laura Fewtrell (Marci, Tara, Kevin and Lynnie McDougall); Barbara Peers and great grandchildren Hannah and Logan McDougall. Also special to Dad was Auntie Jean (Edmonton), his partner Beverly Feary and so, so many friends in Kamloops from all over including the Fraternal Order of Eagles, The Army and Navy and also his curling buddies. James Laidlaw McDougall was born February 17th, 1927 in Reston, Manitoba. Jim passed away December 11th, 2007 at the age of 80. Jim served in the navy during World War II and the RCAF during peace time. Jim was an active member of F.O.E. AERIL 3453 and Army and Navy. Jim's passions included fishing, cribbage and he gave a good account of himself playing pool. He also loved to sing, loved music, karaoke, Las Vegas, poetry, travel, hockey, figure skating, gardening, swimming, cards, and especially taking great care of others. Funeral service will be held at Kamloops Funeral Home Friday, December 14th, 2007 at 3:00 PM and a reception to follow from 5-8pm at Jo and Adrian's, 3459 Bray Place in Westsyde. Jim, Dad, Grandpa, Papa-Jim was an extraordinary man with an incredible high energy for life. As one of his friends said "Jim never had any dust on him" and I am sure he will keep everyone busy in the new divine surroundings he finds himself in.
